The Newfoundland Club Inc.
25th Anniversary Photo's
The Club recently celebrated it's 25th Anniversary, with a weekend of fun and games held in Rotorua. The weekend was about having fun, games for the newfs and humans.
The weekend started off with a BBQ dinner on the friday night, and from what we hear a "local" singing group arrived and never left till late !
Saturday morning started off with breakfast cooked for us all, and then on to a fun teams carting event.
After lunch the humans ventured inside for team games, split in to branches we had 3 games - of course there is nothing like a bit of cheating and interbranch rivalry !
Saturday evening was the 25th Dinner and speeches.  A slide show ran through the evening of past events going back over the last 25 years.
The Newfoundland Club also approved a new award, "The Ambassador Award"  which was awarded on the night for the 1st time to Gordon Barnett.  Gordon along with many of his newfies have spent many hours fundraising for local charities.  The citation will be available shortly.
